Since the creation of Javry, we've been committed to making eco-responsible coffee accessible in every way. This means, for example, fair remuneration for those involved in the chain, but also the sale of several organic coffees, and numerous other ecological actions within our company and our work.
While the majority of coffee's carbon footprint is generated during its cultivation, this doesn't mean we can't work on other aspects of the production chain. Transport in particular! A real militant commitment, offering imported coffees for sale on sailing ships, which emit 90% less CO2 than conventional container ships. It's a long-standing project of ours, and one that resonates with you today if you find yourself on this page of our online coffee shop.
Order and discover low-impact coffees. Like all Javry coffees, they are available:
In 2025, we are offering 3 coffees imported from Latin America by cargo sailboat thanks to our partner TOWT.
Our ultimate goal? To import more than half our coffees thanks to the power of the wind! Find out more about the project on our page dedicated to sailing.
At Javry, it's the Anemos label that characterizes our coffees transported by sailboat: it bears the name of the world's first largest cargo sailboat, built by TOWT and which began its voyage in the summer of 2024 with our coffees on board. TOWT is a French company based in Brittany, which has brought ocean freight under sail to the forefront, much to our delight.
It's now possible to transport coffee by sailboat, a much more environmentally-friendly option than conventional shipping! Belgian company Javry Coffee, based in the Ardennes, has just joined forces with a world first.
