Ceylon Breakfast Tea Ethiquable

Description

This black tea from Ceylon offers a powerful and full-bodied infusion. It is the morning tea par excellence. It will bring you the necessary vitality for your body and mind.

It is cultivated in the Avonlea Hill gardens located in the heart of the Uva region of Sri Lanka. This region is at medium altitude and is affected by dry winds. The main characteristic of this tea from Uva is that it is relatively less full-bodied than other Sri Lankan teas.

Black tea, unlike green tea, undergoes a natural fermentation phase. This process causes a change in the chemical composition of the tea leaf. Its tannin content decreases and theine is made more active. This is why black tea is the tea of the morning.

The Small Organic Farmer Association (SOFA)

This cooperative in Sri Lanka gathers 2,600 producers who practice an environmentally friendly agriculture with a natural fertilization of the soil.

Fertilization is done with natural fertilizers from compost and vermiculture. Hedges and terraces are installed to capture water and maintain an ideal humidity on the plots. Fair trade allows them to finance training in these techniques.

Preparation

Let your tea bag infuse for 3 to 4 minutes in water at 95°. Do not use boiling water, otherwise your black tea will lose its aroma and benefits.
