Discover the Chorti Bio, a coffee with chocolate, vanilla and plum flavors. Originating in Guatemala and produced by the cooperative "La Cuna Chorti" whose objectives are solidarity and mutual aid between the different producers. Organic Chorti is grown in the eastern part of Guatemala in the mountainous area of the department of Chiquimula, where it is rainy and cloudy. The region is growing very well thanks to the coffee production. Find more information about the region where it is grown and the cooperative at the Chorti product sheet or at their official website.
Grown in the same region and by the same cooperative as the Chorti, it retains all the benefits of its organic cultivation but it is grown on a certified plot. In terms of the sensory profile of the coffee, your cup with Chorti Bio will be more full-bodied and the acidity will be more pronounced than with the classic Chorti. The organic coffee retains the silky body of the non-organic with a longer finish. Organic Chorti offers a unique taste with notes of chocolate, vanilla and plums. Organic Chorti is grown about 500 meters higher, under dense shade and on mineral-rich soils. This climate-soil combination makes it a particularly good area for growing Arabica coffee.
This coffee was roasted in Belgium using an artisanal slow roasting process. Learn more about the benefits of a slow, artisanal roast on our blog! Javry is an official online reseller of Chorti products.
